Platform overview

SME development has no shared way to prove progress.

Programmes count activity. Mothusi shows whether each business became stronger, and holds the evidence behind the conclusion.

What a shared standard makes visible.

Programmes can count workshops, mentoring hours, applications and funding disbursed. They cannot usually show whether each business improved the records, cash discipline, compliance, customer proof, production evidence and operating reliability that make it readable. The result: owners do not know where they stand, support is inconsistently targeted, and funders and buyers struggle to assess which businesses are ready.

Mothusi changes that.

Mothusi combines the Mothusi Growth Score, a persistent evidence record and an institutional operating platform, so every business can be measured, supported and understood through one shared framework.

The Network

One governed Network for your whole ecosystem.

Each customer creates a secure organisational environment for its businesses, programmes, staff, mentors, delivery partners, funders, buyers and other ecosystem members. Roles and permissions determine what each member can see, change or share.

Governed inside. Connected where authorised.

The Network keeps records, membership, programmes and permissions under the customer's control. Marketplace enables controlled discovery and matching within and across authorised Networks.

The Live Growth Record

The business memory that survives every programme.

The Live Growth Record brings together the business profile, MGS position, evidence, documents, learning, mentor notes, check-ins, field visits, opportunities, support history and next actions. It is not a static profile. It is the proof record behind the business.

MGS

A shared way to read maturity, evidence and movement.

MGS - the Mothusi Growth Score: a five-tier maturity standard where every movement in the score must be supported by evidence.

MGS uses 5 maturity tiers, 57 growth levers and graded evidence to show where a business stands, what is weak, how strong the proof is and what movement has occurred. The visible score is a summary. The decision value sits in the levers, evidence and issue clusters underneath.

MGS is decision support, not a credit score.

Mothusi AI

The interface, not the whole product.

Mothusi AI reads the authorised Growth Record, explains the business position, guides priority work, runs check-ins, requests missing evidence, helps prepare useful outputs and alerts human teams where intervention is required. MGS rules govern framework interpretation. Consequential decisions remain human.

The evidence loop

From first contact to reported movement.

  1. Join or apply: capture initial context and consent.
  2. Establish an MGS baseline: identify maturity, weak levers and evidence gaps.
  3. Backfill existing proof: add documents, contracts, records and prior support.
  4. Act: complete the next priority task, learning activity or intervention.
  5. Review evidence: record what the evidence supports and whether human verification is required.
  6. Update readiness: buyer, funding, compliance and programme views refresh.
  7. Route support and opportunities: surface learning, mentors, providers, buyers or financial pathways.
  8. Report movement: business, cohort and portfolio outputs read from the same record.
