STARTING POINT

The Royal Bafokeng Nation supports a large, community-owned enterprise network: more than 700 member businesses spread across 50 industries and 29 villages. Support, applications, mentoring, and progress data lived across spreadsheets, portals, and separate teams. With that much diversity, there was no consistent way to baseline a business, compare enterprises side by side, or show stakeholders which businesses were actually moving.

ISSUE CLUSTERS

What the platform identified as the gaps to close.

  • No shared readiness standard across 50 different industries
  • Member records and evidence fragmented across systems and teams
  • Limited visibility of which enterprises needed what support, by village and sector
  • Activity was tracked, but movement and impact were hard to prove to stakeholders
INTERVENTION PATH

How the platform was deployed against those gaps.

  1. 01Deployed a branded network portal for the Nation at rbed.mothusi.ai, with Mothusi AI available to every member.
  2. 02Onboarded and baselined the member enterprises against the MGS standard, giving each a Live Growth Record, tier position, and issue clusters.
  3. 03Configured levers and evidence rules so the same core standard works across all 50 industries, from retail and services to agriculture and trades.
  4. 04Segmented the network by village and sector so the team can see readiness and gaps across all 29 villages from one view.
  5. 05Gave the network team cohort dashboards to track tier movement, evidence created, and where intervention should go next.
EVIDENCE CREATED

What the deployment produces, on an ongoing basis.

  • A Live Growth Record per member enterprise, with tier, evidence confidence, and issue clusters
  • Baseline diagnostics across the full 700+ network
  • Village- and industry-level cohort views for the network team
  • A running evidence trail behind every score, ready for stakeholder and funder review
MGS MOVEMENT

Every member enterprise now holds a live MGS position rather than a static intake form. Because the baseline and evidence are captured against a shared standard, the network can track movement over time - tier change, evidence confidence, and issue clusters resolved - across villages and industries, instead of reporting attendance.

OUTCOME

The Royal Bafokeng Nation now runs its enterprise network on one shared growth standard. More than 700 businesses across 50 industries and 29 villages are measured the same way, compared side by side, and routed to the support they need - with the evidence behind every score visible to the team and its stakeholders.
